J2 Big_Bang Master Art Post 2011

There are no words to explain or describe how excited I was going into this year’s Big_Bang challenge. I had found the perfect story and the perfect author, and my life Big_Bang wise was complete. I was in heaven. I actually think I frightened my author a little with how enthusiastic about this I was…
This year I had the unbelievable luck to work with the wonderful and talented as all hell vambrace, making art for her story Thursday Night Special. Just a word of warning to those interested in reading this… this is not for the faint of heart. It’s slash, yes, so if you dislike that avoid it like the plague as you always do, but it’s also a fic that hits every single trigger that most normal people have. In my case, it hits pretty much every kink. So, fair warning, readers, it’s stunning and unforgettable but dark as all hell.
I asked if I could make her a fanmix… a soundtrack of sorts that fits with the story with both lyrics and general atmosphere… and I came up with this:
I would be lying if I didn’t say this cover is my pride and joy for the project. It took me a few hours to make – finding fitting photos was a challenge – and even with my self-taught photoshop skills I am proud as HECK of it. For those who recognize the songs in the soundtrack, this will give you some idea of what to expect in the fic.
I had the time of my life on this project and I cannot WAIT till next year when I can sign up to be an artist again. This art is mine and made by me. All images used are copyright to their respective owners, but as they were in the public domain you’ll have to tell me if you recognize a photo if yours before I can credit you. I have no problem with people using the icons, but it would be respectful to double-check with the author if she doesn’t mind, thank you. And anyway if you’re after icons, just ask man ;)
OHMYGOD. V! I’m so proud of you! They all look SO good! God, I love it. I really wanna read the story now.

Hehe thank you :) that’s him in a show called Dark Angel when he was about 23/24. Ridiculously, that entire scene could have been made into a trailer for the story… still thinking about it actually, so you never know. You might get something ^^
And thank you :) I’m glad you like it. I find it quite funny that I can potentially turn a few people to the REALLY REALLY DARK side just with my art. It’s such a power rush, haha!~

And thank you so much :D I love all the songs I posted on there, and they all are pretty much MATCHED IN HEAVEN for this fic… so if you know (and love) Weightless… that's pretty much the fic in a song summed up and wrapped in a bow for you :)
I hope you do read it, vambrace is amazing and I love her and I seriously want to work with her again, so it would be awesome if my freaky music tastes got you to read her incredible fic ^^
